Your Clinical Trial Deserves TLC From PRC

Sponsor Shifts From Faltering Large CRO to PRC Clinical

Challenge > DELAYED DELIVERABLES AND EXCESSIVE TURNOVER

A neurodegenerative sponsor based in the United States evaluated PRC Clinical to provide clinical support for their Phase I Alzheimer’s study. By direction of their Executive Board, the sponsor initially moved forward with a large full-service CRO to manage their program based upon familiarity with the brand.

Even though the compound successfully moved through the initial Phase I study, the sponsor had a significant amount of turnover with their CRO in regards to their Lead Clinical Research Associate, a key role for the success of the study.

This, coupled with turnover in data management and delayed deliverables, brought the question of how to remove a functional group from a CRO and replace them with a specialty provider.

Solution > OPERATIONAL EXPERTISE AS A DRIVING FACTOR TO SWITCH TO PRC

PRC Clinical’s extensive experience in neurodegenerative disorders and core focus in supporting clinical operations in North America made it an easy decision for the sponsor to re-engage for our support. Utilizing our knowledge and processes to efficiently and quickly transfer responsibilities showcased the ease of how a sponsor can adjust their functional support when needed, bringing aboard a focused team of experts to collaborate on their clinical program.

Operational expertise is a driving factor in our approach to providing curated project teams to manage and support clinical trials. Our ability to empower sponsors to make difficult decisions with seamless execution showcases our high touch approach and is evident in our long term repeat business.

For PRC Clinical, this marked the third study in 2016 where a sponsor removed a functional group from a large, well known CRO to start working with our group.
